Fire Services

The North Middlesex Fire Department is served by a volunteer fire department consisting of 50 dedicated volunteers, with fire stations located in both Ailsa Craig and Parkhill as well as two areas covered by Fire Protection Agreements with the Arkona Fire Department and Lucan-Biddulph Fire Department.

As of December 1, 2014, William Davidson has been appointed as the Fire Chief / Health & Safety Coordinator for North Middlesex. Scott Jones is the District Fire Chief for the Ailsa Craig Station and Greg Vandenheuval is the District Fire Chief for the Parkhill Station.

Please remember “Controlled” burns need to be approved by the Fire Chief in advance. Open air burn By-Law #43 of 2004 requires 24 hours notice of all intended fires exceeding 1.5 meters (5 feet). For both the Ailsa Craig and Parkhill area you will contact Will Davidson @ 519-294-624 ext 235. You will then be required to call the Srathroy-Caradoc Police Service Communications Centre at 519-245-1300 or 1-844-220-1300. Please have your 911 information available.
